About Ms. Hood
Hello! My name is Ms. Angela (Arnold) Hood. I'm so excited for the opportunity to teach your child this school year. We will have lots of fun learning through songs, dance, and hand on activities! I am lifelong resident of Harrison County and graduated from North Harrison High School. I have three wonderful children; my daughter, Rachel and my son-in-law; Brandon and my son, Jordan. I also have a very sweet and adorable granddaughter, Addison, who's 7 and will be in 2nd grade this yea at Lanesville; a grandson Henley who is 2 and I am anxiously awaiting the birth of my third grandchild the last of August. Along with my family, I have a very spunky little yorkie, named Kodi and a yorkie-mix puppy named Sugar.
In 2007, I graduated from Indiana University Southeast with a Bachelors Degree in Education. I started my teaching career here at Lanesville Schools by completing my student teaching in Mrs. Bryant's room. Then, I traveled to Corydon Elementary where I completed 2 back-to-back maternity leaves in 1st grade. I joined the Lanesville staff 9 years ago, this will be my 10th year teaching. When hired, I taught a year of 2nd grade, then completed four years of teaching first and this will be my 5th year as a Kindergarten teacher which I absolutely love with all my heart. I love the small family type atmosphere here at Lanesville schools. I've made lots of friendships while getting to do what I truly enjoy and that is working with such wonderful children. I look forward to meeting my new students and families and having an awesome year of learning in the classroom.
